Julie Gartell - Founder, CareerPREP Solutions
Julie Gartell is the founder of CareerPREP Solutions, where she helps students and professionals position themselves to stand out and get hired.
Her career began in marketing with iconic brands including Donna Karan, Ralph Lauren, and Chanel, where she learned the power of storytelling and how the strongest brands create memorable, consistent messages. She later pivoted into executive search and Talent Acquisition, spending nearly two decades leading hiring for some of the world's most recognized organizations, including Saks Fifth Avenue, MediaCom, Coach, kate spade, and Stuart Weitzman.
That unique combination became the foundation of CareerPREP Solutions.
Marketing taught Julie how to craft compelling stories. Talent Acquisition taught her which stories employers remember. Today, she brings both together to help students and professionals build compelling résumés, LinkedIn profiles, personal brands, interview strategies, and professional communication that work together to tell one memorable, consistent story.
Having reviewed thousands of résumés and interviewed candidates from interns to executives, Julie knows that getting hired isn't just about having the right experience. It's about knowing how to position it.
Today, Julie works with students, professionals, schools, and organizations through personalized career services, career readiness workshops, and speaking engagements. She is a frequent podcast guest, sharing practical insights on personal branding, hiring trends, interviewing, networking, and the future of work. Through CareerPREP Solutions' high school and college programs, she's helping prepare the next generation long before they enter the workforce.
The Story Behind CareerPREP Solutions
CareerPREP Solutions began with a simple conversation.
As my nephew prepared to graduate from college, I asked him a standard interview question: "Tell me about yourself." He had the education, the experience, and all the potential in the world—but he froze. He didn't know how to communicate his value.
That moment revealed a gap I had seen throughout my career in Talent Acquisition. Schools prepare students academically. Companies train people once they're hired. But very few people are taught how to position themselves in between.
That's why I founded CareerPREP Solutions: to help students and professionals turn their experience into a compelling, memorable story that helps them stand out and get hired.
